Clutch kits all say '86 to mid '01, or mid '01 to '04. Whats that about, and how do I tell what I need? I have a 2001 with 4R70W. I bought a Tremec 3650 and I'm collecting the parts to do the install.

Did they switch to the 3650 at that time? Does this affect my flywheel purchase?

Thanks for your help,

D

The t45 trans were in the cars from 96 to mid 01 and the TR3650, what you have, was mid 01 to 04. So you will need to get the mid 01 to 04 kit and a flywheel for the same year if you car is not a 99/00 GT. Those years came with the windsor engines, like mine and have an 8 bolt crank like the cobras (but not forged).

Hope this helps

Thanks! So get a clutch to go with the 3650. Flywheel to go with the motor? I remember years ago I had to know whether I had a Romeo or Windsor when buying pulleys. Is there an easy way to tell?

Check the driver side valve cover. Or should be on the engine block.
