Ok guys, My transgo shift kit was delivered yesterday. Anything special I need to know before doing the install. I'm waiting on B&M Super Cooler to be delivered before the install. Thanks.

I can't tell you anything about the install, as I had mine installed by a tranny shop when they changed my fluid. But I will say be carefull when it comes to the firmness setting. There are 3: 1 is the street performance one, 2 is like Track/street, 3 is an all out race setting. I was going to have mine done at level 2, and the guy who owned the tranny shop (VERY knowlegeble guy) talked me out of it. He said that the 2nd setting will be very firm, and since I will be getting gears in the future, it will be too firm of a down-shift/up-shift at a higher rpm (becasue of lower gears) too be safe when it's raining or wet out. I'm glad I listened and went with setting 1. At WOT with stock gears and a stock motor, I chirp the 1-2 shift every time. When I get some 3:90's for example and/or more motor mods, it will be even more so.

Setting 1 is crisp and firm, without taking away from the ride quality. And when you get on it, it will shift hard and fast. At wide open, the 1-2 is very firm, and the 2-3 is a nice quick shift also. I'm not saying setting 2 will be too firm for the street, but setting 1 is plenty firm for a daily driver, and setting 2 + gears + rain could be ugly if your not careful.

You will love the kit. It makes a big difference. Let us know how it turns out.
