transmisiion problem

now for some reason my car is popping out of gear its only 3rd. 3rd gear grinds when shifting fast. but if i go slowly it will go in gear but then when i give it gas sometime it will just pop back out. is it time for a new tranney.

Hey, mine does the same thing. I took it to a mechanic and they said that I needed a new transmission.

Hey javon,

Have you brought it to the dealer yet? They will be able to determine the best repair for the transmission, or suggest a replacement if needed. What year is your Mustang?

Replace the synchros and call it a day! or the shifter fork may be bent, but if i remember correctly thatll effect all gears

Just powershift her a few more times, it will fix itself... Haha
