Well tranny is leaking really bad from the tailhousing of it. Not where the driveshaft goes, but where the two parts of the tranny join together. Won't even keep fluid now, so I was wondering where I could find the cheapest transmission, as I'm just graduating college and I am broke as hell. Anyone know where to get one from somewhere in the middle of Iowa too would be awesome. Thanks guys

A t-5 i assume??

WHy not just reseal it? It's a 15-min fix literally.

You'll have to pull the tranny to do it but it's easy as hell.

Problem with the second gear syncro and third gear syncro too, so it's kind of shot. I figured I would take the transmission out and look at it when I took it out to see what I could do and if nothing I'd at least have one I could use.

Rebuild it with new synchro blocker rings. You can get a rebuild kit for $100-200

Well i ended up buying a 4 cylinder tranny for the time being. Maybe I'll look into doing what you suggested, don't you have to have a press or something though or could you do it with just typical garage tools?

Don't really worry about the beatin on it thing, Car needs a few things right now to make it run tip top anyways so I'm pretty easy on her. As far as mileage, I'm not too worried, won't be driving too much. Getting a job with a company vehicle to and from work and this is just going to turn into a weekend/weeknight driver once I get done with college in a month. Just need a temporary fix. So does anyone know which pilot bearing I need for the 4 cylinder tranny?
