Well, my reverse gear is gone.My only question is will the 5 speed out of an earlier model 5.0 mustang (fox body) bolt onto my Cobra's 5.0? I read in a magazine that this model year 5.0, alot of the parts wont match up to the Fox body's. And if it does what modifications must I do to it to get it to work right? Any help here would be great. Thanks

It'll bolt right in, but you'll need a Fox bellhousing and I believe a driveshaft spacer for it to work. The 94-95 T5 input shaft is 5/8" longer than the Fox input shaft.

Okay now for my next question, who makes a good spacer for the driveshaft?

I think I'd rather swap the 94-95 input shaft and call it a day personally. That way you don't need to change anything else.

Haha well was trying to stay away from ripping apart the transmission, but if I can switch out the input shaft, I guess itll be a learning experience lol. Thanks alot you've been a big help. Traded the '66 Mustang me and my dad built for a 76,000 mile Cobra that was supposed to be in great shape. That was until I found out the flywheel had teeth missing and reverse blew out the same day lol. Eh whatever, easy stuff to fix. But thanks again, broadened my range of what transmissions I can look for now heh.

If you're willing to rebuild it yourself and have future mods planned, you might want to look into the G-Force kit for the T5. GreenMustangGt on here rebuilt his own T5 before, and I'm pretty sure someone else did that you could probably contact on the details. I want to say it's Hanlon Motorsports sells the video on how to do it, so if you're going tearing in, you could do a complete deal and be done knowing you have a good trans.

Hm, I'll look into that too, worst comes to worst, one of my dad's friends is a transmission specialist and would most likely help me out. Thanks again
