I have a '94 GT with an automatic transmission. If I barely give it any throttle it shifts fine from 1st to 2nd and accelerating hard it shifts fine in every other gear. When accelerating "normal" I have to let off the throttle to get it to shift from 1st to 2nd. When I shift manually it shifts fine from 1st to 2nd but I'll have to let off the throttle to get it to shift from 2nd to 3rd. When I bought the car a couple months ago the seller said the throttle cable needs to be adjusted to make it shift correctly?!? I assumed it just needed a to be rebuilt. I have not had it checked out by a mechanic yet because I can still drive it fine the way it is. I am planning to purchase a set of 4.10's for it and want it to be shifting correctly after they are installed. I guess my question is do you think it's a linkage problem or just needs to be rebuilt? If more information is needed or clarification just ask. Thanks!
