Hi everybody im new to the forum and have a quick question. i just recently got my car back from the shop where I had them do 4.10s and dyno tune the car for the parts I put on. The parts consit of accufab plenum and 75mm throtle body CAI, Bassani X-Pipe with cats in (to pass emissions) and bassani cat back. Ive ben driving the car daily to college for about 3 weeks the commute consits of about 10-20 mins on the high way and 20-25 mins back roads. My question is when they tuned the car they upped the shift firmness to the highest level. I recntly droped the 3-4 shift firmness becuse the car would clunk into gear below 2000 and above 2000 grand it was a nice firm shift. fearing the OD band would go I detuned it now it seems all my shifts have gone soft they start out when i first start the car to be nice and firm but after i run it the shift firmness goes away. Also a wot the shift firmness isnt there. Im worried that im burning up my clutch disks with the combo of the higher rpms on the highway and the increased shift firmness. Im goin to install the tranny cooler but it wont be for a while becuase I dont have time. My question is do you think i should drop all of my shift firmness back to stock to keep the fluid from heating up as much untill I can install the tranny cooler. Or do you think im just getting used to the shift firmness. I need t pull my tranny dipstick and check the fluid level as well as a burnt smell. Any input would be appreciated

cant u just adjust WOT shift firmness?? im not an auto expert with the tuners but i think u can. it would make sense to do that, and also do not have it shifting as firm as it can, because of your point about heat and no cooler. i hope somebody else w/ an auto chimes in, but go check ur programmer for wot shift pressure and than change the shift points too.:nice:
