I see a lot of talk and speculation on the engines, weights, and rear suspensions. Not much is being said about the transmissions. Does anyone know what the options will be for the GT?
As a 2000 GT owner I'd love to see a 6 speed manual with more OD. The RPMs are just too high when I cruise to Vegas (> 110MPH). I like the current rear end gear in this car (3.37?), just need some more OD at high speed.
I read somewhere Ford was working on a 6 speed automatic. Yikes, 6 gears in an automatic! Not sure if it would handle the torque...
Anyone got some info on this?
