Tri ax shifter

I'm gonna instal the shifter really soon now. I just wanna know one this. I didnt buy the gasket along with the shifter , so i will use the black silicon RTV. Is that good enough. If you guys did the same please let me know if it works just as good as the gasket

Of course the rtv is good and perfectly fine. i have a tri-ax and used rtv. its ok.
