Tribute to WW2 P51 Mustang

That is an awesome tribute...i think it looks great and it would be the first of it's kind...plus the ricers couldnt copy it, because they dont have the right cars...it looks good. i'd like to see something like that done

Jordan. look at the back of your car, the side view shot you gave us....

Look at the diagonal line the brake lights make.... continue that line up and down in blakc.. that will give you the maked rudder look with the red strip. I though I saw a few plane photos that had a dual color tail like that...

Partially complete, just need to have the hood painted.

I appreciate all the responses and I do take them to heart. The update pic was taken just after I was completed with the main decals. I have added some Japanese kill flags but need to make some German cross kill flags. I will get the hood painted in a couple weeks. I plan to add "Tribute to Valor" on the back of the spoiler. I will probably add my name to the drivers door and as a joke may put "Future Wife's Name Here" on the passenger door..... :D I am also thinking of a snakes mouth custom paint job for the lower bumper/fog light area.

Oh, I'm not checkering the nose, looks too much like a taxicab..... :( The name is in Chrome lettering and says "TERMINATRIX" in keeping with a female persona of an aircraft and blending that with Terminator. I'm might paint the fuel tank cover red since they are often painted red on the aircraft I have seen. I don't want to copy one specific aircraft, just blend old with new. I may add some female body art later on. Wondering about the copyright issues if I used a pic of the terminatrix from T3.......

Very cool! Painting the hood will help pull it together. Not sure about a snakes mouth on the lower fender. I'm kinda of a plane nut, and I can't recall seeing any of these on any P51's. If I understand what you're thinking, they were common on P40's in the China/Burma theatre and latter with 14th (I think) airforce who took over for them.

Maybe some small nose art - for scale - low and in front of the front wheels. Not much more though, or you'd be overdoing it. As it is, I think it looks great! :flag:
