Trick Flow Engine Kit Dyno results cont.

Is the Kit worth the money with the supposrting pieces? SOmeone should do a FAQ for someone like myself who needs to know EVERY supporting piece to buy. what is needed to do the job start to finish without having to stop midway in and buy more stuff.

Hello all,
About a week or so ago I started a thread outlining some dyno results after installing the Trick Flow Kit. Some of you where curious to see the curves so here they are in .pdf form. Please note that the data in blue is the most recent (272.06 HP & 306.66 lb/ft torque). The red data was taken last October with the stock CATS and headers still attached. Note that by going from the stock exhaust to the MAC high flow CATS and BBK 1-5/8" shorties we gained 16HP and 6lb/ft of torque. The air/fuel is tuned to 13.45. My goal is >300RWHP. I've got 30 to go. Any more suggestions, comments? You guys are way smarter than me on all of this.
Thanks for the help.

272hp & 306.6 tq is a good start to the 300 you want. I think there's a few hp to be had in changing out a few parts. I'm not sure I would bother with switching out these parts though because the cost to hp benefit ratio isn't that good. You already have some good aftermarket parts on the car.

But, if you really want 300 to the wheels, I would get a Pro-m 80mm in place of the 75mm. Next I would go 1 or 2 sizes up with the throttle body. I'm not here to argue a 75mm tb is too big or small. I know it helped my car and thats good enough for me. Next, 1 5/8" longtubes will help a little bit. The cats are hurting the power a tad so you may or may not want to get an off road h pipe to go with the longtubes. Then, play with the timing a bit more. I know you said your car lost power after trying 14* and that could be true because every car reacts differently. Most TW heads like timing. I'm at 18* and it runs best there. I'm thinking you lost power on the dyno when you changed timing because you may have been doing back to back runs without letting the car cool enough.

With these parts in place of your current combo, you should break the 300mark you are looking for. You could sell the parts to finance the new stuff or throw a power adder on and go for over 400rwhp.

The dyno run was done near Carlilse, PA. Altitude I suspect is <1000ft.
Joe, you don't like the 65mm TB and the 75mm MAF. What should I do instead? Not a good combo?
You know, I'm sure that the readings will very from Dyno to Dyno. One of the questions that I asked the tech running the thing was if they get the dynometer set-up calibrated? He said that to the best of his knowledge it does not get calibrated. Does the thing have a way of self calibrating? I guess maybe what I'm asking here is, how do I now that the dyno is correct? Go run it at another one I guess.
Thanks Guys
I didn't know there was a dyno near Carlisle. Where is it, What shop has one? I live in carlisle.
