I'd get the Street Heat. Especially since one's available for $250.

Cobra for your setup. If you are on a budget get the TFS intake mentioned above and put the extra cash towards the heads.

The intake with the larger ports is probally going to flow more, but the velosity will be reduced. So if you have 10% more air in volume, but moving 20% slower, then in reality less air is flowing. The only way to make up for this is to have an engine that can pull more volume.

If you plan to supercharge, and want an intake now, go with a RPM II or a Systemax II. You probally won't see any more power increase than a ported lower, or smaller intake, in fact you'll probally loose a noticable amount of torque, but down the road you'll be glad you did.

To be honest, I would go ahead and save for the Supercharger. Building a blower motor and a naturally asparated motor is different, so it will help you along in your buildup. If I could do it all over again, I would have just done suspension and a turbo from the start.

im not planning for no supercharger i just wanna get around 280 to the wheels cause after so much hp they become gas guzzlers and very unfriendly in traffic im gonna keep it as a daily driver also.

That's what is so great about power adders. You can build a large-cube engine and rule the street in NA form or you can keep with the 5.0-based setup and throw a blower/turbo on it. You have to realize that a supercharger is an on-demand thing, you are not putting out full power (aka sucking gas) until you go past a certain throttle point, which is where you can start having fun. Otherwise if you go easy/normal with it, gas mileage is unaffected (but you know what kind of reserve/potential you have if you want it).

If you are going to do a heads, cam, and intake manifold set up I would go with a TFS kit. They make kits. Like the street heat kit it has the street heat heads, street heat intake manifold upper and lower, and a trick flow stage 1 cam. The heads are good so is the intake maifold, the cam has like 500 lift. So it is still a mild set up but would give you about a little under 300 rwhp. The kit is realitivly cheap. I want to say like 2,000. So that is an idea for you.

Just because one intake flows more than the other does not mean that it will perform better an ALL combos. There is a dyno on my website (LX Mike dynos) where a customer went from a ported Explorer to an RPMII and lost power over the whole rpm band - the intake was too big for his combo of parts - which included AFR 165 heads and an E cam.
