Trickflow engine kit.. or not ?

im looking for 350 HP for my 93 LX, and this kit seems itd do the deal:

my questions are:
- what size should the MAF, TB be. 80mm (MAF) 75mm (TB)?
- will 30lb injectors do the job?
- can the stockblock handle the HP, safetly?
- has anyone ran this kit, and howd it handle?

You looking for rear wheel numbers or at the crank?

I had mine pull 311rwhp 337rwtq on the dyno yesterday. Full accessories and full smog, through cats even.

this kit will definitely fulfill your need for speed-it's a great start

24lb'ers should be good for the combo, 30 is a little much, you could run into hot start surge issues, and really cruddy mileage; the maf, go for 73mm or the like, just make sure it's for the right injectors; tb go for the 70mm; don't neglect the fuel system though, a good fuel pump (190lb/hr should be good) and the FP regulator should be adjustable for tuning purposes; the stock block is easily capable of handling this kit provided it's mechanically sound to begin with.

also if you have the availability, get it dyno tuned, custom chip, etc...every car is different, every situation is different, have it tailored to your car and your driving habits

I don't personally know anyone that runs it, but everyone i've met that runs TFS heads are impressed and pleased with the performance, and since they match the kit up with intake and cam, you should be pleased as well

My math shows that the fuel requirements for my car is 25.7 pound an hour injectors. The tuner will be able to tune for the combo. Better to have room for improvemnet anyway.

PS- no problems or issues like you mentioned with my car.

You will get issues with 30lb injectors if you do not have a tune. But I still get godo gas mileage (24mpg) on a 155k bottomend untuned.

Get 30lb injectors if you have a tuner to help you with it. You can drive without a tune but you get a rich idle and hot start issues. I do (as well as others). I would get 24lb injectors if you do not have a tuner available.

Go no bigger than a 70mm TB.

A Kirban adjustable fuel pressure regulator is a good thing to have. (or the like).

Get a Pro-M MAF preferably over C&L so there is less chance of hit or miss.

Get a 80mm MAF and the stock block can handle it just fine. I would do a compression check before the swap. You will get increased compression which can get you to burn just a bit more oil if the rings aren't up to par. Nothing serious though.

very tru, just going by what friends of mine are using with comparable builds-the 30lb'ers on my friends 88 vert with a similar build up are too much...they'll make your eyes BURN after a while

you will make 350 to the motor. but not 350 at the wheels, if you want 350 at the wheels, your gona need more motor, but the kit is great and people get great numbers from it, just as suggested, all the parts you need are as mentioned

If you can swing the cash, I would go AFRs. FTI cam and RPM intake.
