We`re not trying to be dicks...maybe comedians.

We are trying to steer you in the right direction.A camshaft is a critical and complex component which you cannot just go by how good it sounds.

You are way better off listening to guys with serious first hand experience and knowledge about camshafts and engine building rather than listening to a Ford mechanic who perhaps doesn`t know about the technical side of things and is going by what he reads in a catalog or magazine and just throws parts together.
Guys like Rick and some others here know what works and what doesn`t.

fiveoho, you mechanic probably knows how to fix a car. But I don't think he would know which cam should go in a performance engine built to custom standards. I have a trickflow stage 1 cam with AFR165s, its a good cam and 'sounds' nice.

By the way you should give Rick more respect, he would make a joke out of your 'mechanic'.

Good luck.

Sounds nice

is there a difference in LSA between the two cams? this plays a major role in selection also.

The Stage 2 is gonna sound meaner. It'll do better than a Stage 1 on that combo. Q's answered.

Now, some advise, they're not gonna do **** compared to a custom cam for $100 extra dollars. That's a very good bargain on the most important part of your engine. Why would you leave power on the table of an expensive combo when it's only $100? My $.02

Also, there's no need for a smart-ass reply to what I said.
