Activating the fuel cutoff switch

How do you do it? You know, that safety device in the trunk.

I am told that doing that very quickly relieves the fuel pressure.

I want to do it for my project to install the injectors.

There's a slot below the button, on the side of the inertia switch. I used a small flathead screwdriver to trip mine, but anything small enough to fit through and pop the button up will do.

Smartypants! I usually just smack it with the handle of a screwdriver. Used to do it to my buddys stangs all the time:D

Or there's also this method. :rlaugh:

I felt bad for a buddy of mine, as a teen. He had an Escort and the inertia switch tripped when he went over some tracks, except he didn't know it existed and didn't know why the car died and wouldn't restart. $100 for a tow back to his house later and playing with multiple things on his car, I came over and reset it. I bet he's still pissed, 14 years later. :D
