The other day I ran my motor pretty hard (130 mph for about 30 mins). It ran good, oil press and wtr temps were perfect. Now when the motor is cold it runs rough. I replaced the spark plugs a couple of days prior. All look very good except #8. It is a light tan. It doesn't burn any oil. Could one of my valves be out of adjustment or maybe I burned a valve?? I think I will adjust them but I would like your opinions/ideas.

Where the heck did you run for 30 minutes at 130 mph?

Stock engine? Most stock engines aren't built for that kind of abuse.

I live in the Arizona desert. I have a 289,forged pistons ARP fasteners,TFS heads,Edlebrock performer RPM. Baer brakes,Lowered to Shelby specs,Complete Global West suspension ECT. I have ran at longer periods of time at same speed, (Kingman to vegas),BUT ,What do you think is causing it to idle rough when cold? The other plugs ceramic are white. The electrode is a light tan. #8 plug ceramic is light tan.

Bone-white is too lean. Do a dry and wet compression test and see what you come up with.
