I did something wrong. I am not getting anything when I turn the key to on, so I can't start the car. I am in the middle of finishing my engine swap so I think I might have wired the solenoid wrong? Would that cause the problem?

Also does the start cable have to be hooked up as well? The one I currently have is too short, so I can't hook it up yet. To start the car I am just going to tap it on the battery, lol I know I know....I just wanna get it running.

I bet you probably have a bad ground cable connection to the block. There could be some paint/grease getting in the way

The possitive cable (from battery) goes to the closest terminal post on the solenoid (starter relay). This is where all the other power wires should be connected to. The main power wires that run up into the dash/ignition switch should also be connected to this post.

The little wire on the solenoid comes from the ignition switch and relays power to the solenoid when the key is turned to the start position.

The other positive cable then goes from the other large terminal post on the solenoid down to the starter, right.

Then the electricity returns back to the battery through the battery's ground cable attached to the block. Which is probably giving you the problem. :nice:
