hey guys, I was just thinking about removing the rear trunk badges on my gt, and I was just making sure they are only attached by adhesive, and that they will be easy to remove? thank you

They may or may not be easy to remove, depending on how old/new they are but take your time doing so. They are only held on by two way tape.

Only the side emblems have alignment holes.

On my Mustang the rear Blue Oval has a alignment pin but the Mach1 emblem didn't. I used dental floss to get the bond of the adhesive pad of the emblem to seperate from the painted surface. Some have used fishing line with equal sucess.

To remove the residue of glue from the paint I used wax, some use glue-be-gone or similar glue remover.

holes might not be your biggest concern, depending on how old your car is the two lines of double stick and the rest oif the oval will be fresh paint while the rest will me minorly sun bleeched. Could look odd

The side GT/V6 emblems have holes behind them, the rear GT/Mach1 emblem does not.

The Ford oval does have holes.

Ive been looking to get a "Fast" blue oval but all i ever seem to find is the ones for the Lightning/F150 grill. ive already taken the GT off of the trunk and i want to put the "4.6 Nitrous Injected" in red for the front quarter pannels then have the Fast on the trunk.

+1 this is true that is why my ford emblem is still attached.

and a decent fishing line works very well and a hot day will help too along with some goo gone to get the excess glue off.
