Trunk Lock Cylinder Install Help

so I removed the trunk lock from my orig decklid as I swapped with another one.....drilled the rvet out......sooo hold do you re install it?

the natural suggestion would be with a rivet of course

Don't have a rivet gun and it seems to be an odd size anyway.


I have it figured out though.......a trip to Home Depot got a short bolt and nut...

If I remove the third brake light can then get access to bolt the new lock cylinder on....

Rivet does look a little big. Rivet guns are cheap and easy to use though if you run into more in future projects. I always went the short nut and bolt way until doing gutters this summer. Once I got the rivet gun I was mad I always did it the nut and bolt route.
