Neighbor guy is having trouble with his 02 and the power window, He rolled it down and now it wont roll back up. Push the down button and you can hear the relay click and the interior lights dim, push up and the lights dim with no relay click. he's checked the fuses but didnt know where the relay was at to check it.
anyone else ever have this problem?

Just happened to me last week. It ended up being a motor on it's way out. Try slapping the door next to the speaker while pressing the button to go up

Hold the button to roll the window up, while slamming the door shut at the same time. Works for a lot of people.

If the lights dim it means the motor is getting power but is stalled. DC motors draw a lot of current when stalled...

It might be that there's a mechanical issue in the window regulator. It may have "derailed", for instance, and the mechanism is now jammed. Pull the door panel off and inspect the assembly.

Try slamming to door with your finger in the button. Worked for me once.

The motors are very simple to change but also dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. Be careful on what you start screwing.

Talked to him today, him and his dad pulled the door panel and tapped the motor with a screwdriver and the window rolled up. I guess the motor was in a bind somehow, I recommended him to find a new motor.

Is this an original Cluster that would work in my 1987 Convertible 2.3L? Turn signals work, but not correctly.
