However, if you've got a part that you know works, why switch it up for one you don't know works? For example, shaker audio system - if yours isn't skipping, why change it to get one that may skip? Or, gas tank - why change it for one that also may not work (I've heard many people - including myself - having problems with their replacement gas tanks).

Gas tank change, 4 fill ups, 1 was like the old days (the bad tank)... but it's better than the first gas tank... boy that sucked with those Clean Air nozzles... so better off with the change so far.

I am thinking about doing the TSB for turning noise, I don't do too many slow tight turns, but when I do I hear noises... I would have thought that was normal, all my cars made noise in tight slow turns. I just need a dealer who wants the warranty works since I lowered the car, they could possibly say no. Thoughts?

Yep..

Ford will not allow a dealer to do a TSB fix unless that vehicle has the symptoms described in the TSB.

Step 1 - "Diagnose Problem and Report"....The Technical Service Bulletins are not the same as a recall. In the case of a TSB the dealership must Diagnose the Problem and Report their finding prior to receiving approval to fix it under warranty.

Some of the TSBs that we have right now are specific to certain job builds and production run dates. So, where my V-6 AOD needs to be fixed under the Exhaust TSB issued, people who had their built after April 5, 2005 will not.

I actually walked in to a German Ford dealership, told them I was having the gas tank problem, (sucks btw). Amazingly, they were aware of the TSB for it and they ordered it on the spot. Didn't even have to take the service guy to the gas station. Hopefully I'll have the new tank in a couple weeks. But I do have all the TSB's I've found printed and placed in with my warranty paperwork. Just in case.
