Tubular K Member Fit Problem

As said above, if you get the tubular control arms you can space them all the way back and get some clearance back but then you also have to switch to coil over. Other than the problem you had, the QA-1 is a good K. As far as tech support, that's common with any of these outfits. Most would have said...Hmm, you're the first one I've heard with this problem. Never heard of that before....Must have installed it wrong.

Thats what half of the people with them are doing anyway apparently LOL

just correcting bad information. :D you should work harder at being a smartie, that was lame.

anyway, if you only knew how many mustangs have been smashed up and never even been checked, other than to fix what is crumpled, you would be surprised. that goes for all cars actually. Notice how the guy said not all of them need changes as described. wonder why that is. Not only accidents, but just pure body tweaking and abuse.
Once you weld in full length subframes, you can just forget about doing anything on a frame machine to change the alignment of a Mustang.

I guess that the first step in your chassis modification checklist is to make a trip to the body & frame shop to get the car checked prior to doing any mods. Then once you know it is straight, get the subframes welded in and the rest of the stuff installed. That’s why Factory Five Cobra replicas have the frame built on a jig.

i had the exact same fitment problem when i installed it on my 80 cobra, i redrilled the k-member and moved it forward to where the rear motor mount slots (there are two slots to mount the motor mounts in) matched up and installed it. the 4 bolts that are on the frame rail that also function as the spring perch were easy to drill out, but the two lower bolts that are somewhat towards the rear of the fender well we not as easy to mesure so i installed it and went from there. huge pain ita i would never do it again >< :nonono:

They all suck!

I am now having the EXACT, SAME issue with my setup,...i:bang: ts a granatelli. Using their K-member, A-Arms, Coil overs, and CC Plates, and the wheel is all the way forward,.........:bs: It looks like dick and it rubs the fenders,...Will those QA1 control arms fix this?,....and where do I find them. Email me if you have answers or insight,...Fun Ford Norwalk is only 4 weeks away!
