Tubular K-Member & stock A-arm spacing problem

Hey all, on my 94 GT I have a AJE Racing K-member. I am using spring perches and stock control arms. I am wondering if anyone else has done this and run into this problem. The K-member spacing is wider than the stock control arm bushings... as shown in this picture:



What I've done is add spacers to tighten things up as shown below:





Am I asking for trouble doing this....I wouldnt think so? Has anyone else dealt with this problem or have advice?
