I have been running a SCT Tuner on my 2002 GT for the last year or so on the custom tuned 93 performance setting. The place I bought it from set up up to have three tunes 93 performance, 93 torque, and 87 performance.

Since gas prices are at an all time high I recently re-tuned it for the 87 performance setting so I could save a little money. As soon as I did this the car runs fine but my radio has no sound.

What in the hell caused this and how do I fix it?

Thanks for any help guys.

Fuses and connections are fine.

It has to be related. I have never had a minutes trouble out of my radio and I was literally just listening to it prior to changing the tune. Then when I go to crank the car up after the tune is completed the radio lights are all on and in working order but there is no volume at all.

I find it hard to believe that the changing of the tune is not the cause but I just don't know how it is possible.

Can anyone please help me with this?

Lol well the tune of your car has literally nothing to do with the radio of your car. I think it's purely a coincidence.

You can try putting the stock tune back into your car to try and get the radio to work again, but I doubt that will help.

Did you check all radio connections with a voltmeter?

Yeah I tried a volt meter. I know it sounds stupid as hell.

It hasn't been on the stock tune for awhile now. All I did was change the 93 octane tune to the 87 octane tune.

The radios power was on during the tuning process but I didn't think that mattered.

it's a coincidence...the sct does not control nor interfere with the radio in any way shape or form. something either shorted out, or some amps went bad.

mach 460 amps are known to do that without warning, one minute their fine, next minute...the sound of silence.

Ok guys well thanks for the help. At least I can rule the tuner out now. Thats weird as hell though. I have after market amps and radio so I guess something is gone fishy somewhere with them.

Thanks again
