tuner wont work on my car

a friend gave me his diablo tuner and i tried to put in the performance tune and it said this tool is not licensed for use on this vehicle. he said he reinstalled the factory tune back into his car before he sold it. can someone help me out?

The first thing a handheld tuner needs to do before anything else is download and save the factory tune from the stock EEC. Now either you're not operating the tuner correctly, or your buddy lied to you and his stock tune is still locked in the Diablo's memory! If his calibration is still stored in your Predator then essentially you have a giant paperweight now.

Do you have the instructions on how to operate the tuner?
