Looking for a good dyno shop to tune my car once I put the tork tech kit on...I talked to AM as they are close and they don't actually dyno tune....just dyno runs. I guess big question is will I even be able to start the car without it being tuned to new maf and injectors? I don't want to blow it up, also don't want to tow it to a shop and have it not start. Advice please.

Stay away from a formerly-prominant shop in sayreville unless you want to blow up your car...

I had a lot of work done on my 99 Saleen by Big Daddy in Lakewood, very happy with the
work they did. Not cheap but I had a lot of issues with the car, they called every time the
found something, explained options and costs.

No no no. If it is possible drive to Smyrna, Delaware. Talk to Matt at Performance Evolution (not Evolution Performance) he charges $350 for dyno tunes. He has an amazing shop, awesome customer service, and it is just him who will tune your car. Honestly this guy is a class act. He will take the time to talk you through each step if you are doing the wrenching and quality always comes first. Tell him Bill sent you. I have been there multiple times for tuning and dyno runs. My car is a daily driven Vortech currently making 420rwhp.

I will call him this week. As long as people stand behind him, ill take the drive. Half the price doesnt hurt either.

What's the scoop on JDM Freehold? I live in Hunterdon Cty NJ. Any other shops local to me? How about just some good shops that can do engine and suspension work?

Yea he draws in a lot of people from the tri-state area cause he works by himself and stands by his work and always makes time for his customers when they have issues. Should definitely check out his shop if you are ever down that way. The number to the shop is 302 449 3200

Talked to Matt Monday....absolutely awesome and very knowledgable. Went through my whole build with him, and he made a few suggestions (swapping to 60lb Siemens Deka injectors). I cant wait to start this build.

My car was tuned by Kevin Hand @ Wicked Motorsports prior to me owning it. It's 98 GT w/vortech pushing 10-11lbs boost and runs amazing...hot/cold, doesn't matter. The car runs like a stock 2v 4.6 until you hit the fast pedal and then it's just hold on.

He's done quite a few other people with good results over on HPMustangs.com/svtperformance/etc.

Most of my work was done by Chris Winters of CrazyHorse Racing when I lived in NJ. He is down in S. Amboy. He has since changed the name of his shop to Winters Auto. He knows EVERYTHING about Mustangs, has a Dyno, is a really nice guy too. His phone # is 609-208-2550. Please tell him Ron sent you, the guy with the red convertible from Hackettstown, NJ. When I blew my stock motor, he drove 70 miles roundtrip to pick up my car, FREE! He sold me his new Cobra shortblock he had as a backup for his 600+ hp Cobra. I still call him after 3 years of living here in SC for advice, he always helps me out.
