Just a quick question. Is it stiil possible to get a tuner that stiil gives the option to turn off the rear o2 sensors? I can't seem to find anything on the web sites (sct,diablo,supertuners etc.)

All of them have updated versions that don't allow you too. I imagine someone has a saved old version that they can email you though.

yup, same reason why its so hard to find O2 eliminators.

Wow, that sucks. I didn't know that the companies deleted that feature.

I thought pretty much all tuners could turn of the rear O2s, but I guess not.

With a custom tune they can still be turned off for off-road use. The Mfgs that use canned tunes keep them on and eliminated that option, it's my understanding, because the EPA threatened huge fines if they did not change them.

^^ I made one for the driver side of my cobra yesterday > cost mea trip to the junkyard to get the o2 plugs off of a junker and $5.00 at Radioshack> and a total of 10 min's to make them and plug them in .

A tuner isn't needed to get rid of the CEL, and neither is the trip to RadioShack. You can use spark plug non foulers and get rid of the CEL for under $5. I know several Mustang guys who have done this with success (don't know anyone who it didn't work for). I was skeptical at first, but decided to try it when my MIL's quit working. All I can say it it was super easy and worked like a charm. Here is a detailed write-up with pics:

I have a diablosport tuner thats two years old and i can turn them off. Try to find a used one. Or if you dont feel like making MIL eliminators both americanmuscle.com and mustangsunlimited.com have them for $60-$70.

Shoot all I have to do is pull the fuse lol. The fuse that controlled my o2 sensor (20A number 8 passenger) used to keep blowing and I had my ecu reflashed and I put a new fuse on their today and cleared the dtc's... doubt it will work though. They said that its probably a bad wire lead or something if it keeps blowing.

The spark plug non foulers are the way to go. I had MIL's on my car and they quit working. Anything elecrical can fail. Wires can get shorts, cut, loose connection, etc. With the non foulers, it spaces the sensor out of the exhaust pipe so it gets a poor reading (thus being lower than the fronts and not triggering a check engine light). All I know is I'll never use anything else on my car. It's super cheap, simple, but yet functional.

Easiest way is with the non-foulers or MIL eliminators. I've done both and both work very well.

I don't think that will work for me though; I must have a bad lead somewhere. I just put a piece of black tape over the ses light. Well the light still hasn't came on but I will give it a couple more days and see if she pops the fuse again

rear o2s

i have bbk lts.bbk o/f xpipe/flow masters..i have a predator and have left the o2s on,,,,i dont have any mils on rear o2s,,,,I DONT HAVE A CEL ON

is it ok to use like this or am i losing power from this?

im stock other than exhaust


most ive seen was a code problem without them


watching the fuel trims ...ltft is 5-7 pos at idle and lt and st balance 0 when driving

You won't loose power even if the light comes on. Its just anoyying. The rears have ZERO effect on fuel trims and performance, they are simply there to see if the cats are doing their job. The fact that you have no light or any codes is nice. If its not broke, don't fix it.

that works well on chevys but i have NEVER seen it work on a ford. i have tried that method with 5 different cars with no success. i've even doubled up on the foulers and it still didnt work
