I need some help. I am looking for a tuner for my 97 Mustang Cobra which will enable me to eliminate the rear o2 sensor requirements. I do not want to have to use mil eliminators. I have found a few that one website says they will and another doesn't say anything about it other than the fact it can read and clear the codes. Personal experience here would be great. Looking for both plug into the dash and even as in depth as a laptop program that gets plugged in. Thanks

Get either a Diblosport Predator or X-Cal 2. I think its like a 50/50 split on who has what. Theres some differences but for the most part they do the same. You can turn off the 02's, adjust speedometer for gears/tires, change timing, mixture, read codes when the SES light comes on, download real time data from cars computer, etc. They do more but you get the picture. The Predator has been out a bit longer and can find them a little cheaper. The X-Cal 2 can store 3 different tunes in its memory. Tho not something necessary its nice.

Get either a Diblosport Predator or X-Cal 2...

The Predator only goes as far back as 98. Go with the Xcal2.

Can anyone tell me for sure whether these units will remove my need for rear o2 sensors and mil eliminators? That is the main thing I am looking for. I have read up on both of these units, it does appear I would need to go with the Xcal 2; however, I have seen places that say it will remove the o2 sensor requirement, and i have seen places that dont list anything like that at all. Any personal experience?

I guess you're in a smog state with emissions. I have a Diable on mine, and no cats, and somehow it still passes emissions. It just turns of the 02 sensors, so no need for the MIL eliminators.

Since an XCal 2 from a dealer who does custom tunes, like us - is really customized to each customer's needs, basically anything can be done, like shut off rear 02's, change rev limiter to whatever you want, raise idle, shut off all smog crap, different octanes, etc...

Both can shut off your rear O2 sensor tests to prevent the MIL when you have no cats. For sure.
