I plan on putting cams in my 4.6 and i was wondering if the diablosport predator would work with tunning the cams in?

Yes, best bet is to have it dynotuned at a place that uses Diablosport software of course.

But I do beleive they can send you a custom mail order tune for the cams if dyno time isnt an option.

But dont just buy a generic one and call it done.

your better off going the SCT route via the X2 or the new livewire. SCT's software is way better then the Diablo stuff IMO.

agree with xcal2

I agree SCT's Xcal2 is a great product and a better product for the mustangs.

either handheld are equal, but in order to use a handheld properly, you must first know what you are doing. tell me, how will you know if you are running too rich or lean? if youre getting knock and need to decrease timing at a certain RPM? unless you can tune by ear and feel, your options are limited to how far you can push the envelope with a handheld and no information to go off of. it would be ok if you had a wideband o2 gauge and something that plugs into the obdII port and read timing and maf voltage and whatnot, but you cant do that with either handheld until you get home and plug it into a PC (unless you have a laptop during runs)

id just install the cams then granny it to the dyno. they will add fuel and decrease timing for the first run, and then gradually lean it out while adding timing till they find the edge, and then pull back to the safe side and hand you the keys. plus with a real dyno tune, they can adjust more parameters in more detail than your sct/diablo can.
