Not to sound totally dumbfounded, but what do those civics redline at? that curve seems to wait forever...until the curve we have them.

my friends turbo ls 4dr teg was such a sleeper... completely built running 28 lbs of boost.... think was sick.... and it just looked like a stock tinted burgendy 4 door teg with GSR rims.... thing was great till it blew up... now its got a B18c in it....

I got beat by a 90 Laser with a 16G turbo and brand new rubber.

I used to drive 4-bangers and the turbo ones were never anything to laugh at, especially the old skool turbo DSM's.

Same thing happened to me with a b18 in an old Civic like an 1990. Embarassing to say the least, but it was obvious when all their friends are telling you to race a Civic.

It says it has like 650HP, I'd say that's pretty good HP out of a 4 cylinder!!! All it needs is a good paint job

just becasue you have twice the amount of cylinders doesnt mean you should have beat him. a nearly stock 94-95 gt/cobra is slow. a lightweight high revving 4cylinder with a turbo will easily give your car a run for its money.

a buddy of mine went to the track a while back with a 96 civic ex.....it had a built b18c and a large turbo under the hood. it made 612hp 476lb/ft to the wheels at 24psi with a redline of 8000. he had no traction through the end of 2nd gear on smaller sized slicks and was still managing to run near 11.1@130.6 every pass. the car was easily capable of mid 10's but the traction just wasnt there. he was netting 60' times in the 2.2-2.5 range if not worse. most of the stangs and camaro's that were there were leaving him at the line, but by the 1/8 mark he was reeling them in and would go right by. he literally had 20 domestic owners crowded around his car by the end of the day because nobody could believe they got their ass handed to them by a civic and wanted a look under the hood. it was absolutely priceless.
