I recently picked up this little 92 2.3 notch because I wanted a non v8 car to drive around town. But seeing as I have never owned a car that I could leave alone, I am intrigued by this tubo coupe motor swap thing. The only problem is that I dont want to do anything that is going to kill the mileage since that is the main reason I bought the car. But a turbo swap would keep me in the good graces of the misses since I promised not to put a v8 in it. So what kind of mileage do you turbo guys see? I guess its kind of a loaded question since you probably put your foot in it more when you have the turbo than when it was N/A. But I guess what Im wondering is that under normal driving conditions, is the mileage the same with either engine?

at leki 65 mph on the high way I see about 28-20 mpg. in town i floor it way too much to even bother keeping track. I would assume about 18-20 though.

Once I did my first motor swap in the '88LX I got a average of 25MPG, the least I got was like 19 or something like that. My old N/A motor was around 18 at most..

The Turbo motor for my '93 should get even more.
