If you bought a kit, it takes only a few hours. I put my hot side piping in in 1 hour. Intercooler took an hour to mount, and cold side about 1 hour. Very easy IMO. Making a kit on the other hand is a different story.

You guys are crazy, no way your gonna make a sc sound better then a turbo!

Civic, if your buying new, the kits are very close is price range. Do some research and you'll see. Pay close attention to all the things that come with turbo kits.

More low end torque? Maybe a kennbell but thats it! With all things being equal, put a turbo settup against any blower settup at the same PSI and see who wins Reason enough for me!

See who wins when i slash one of their tires

I understand a turbo vs a supercharger is a no brainer race, but I can pick up a used setup for under 2k....I dont see any turbo setups for that.....I am sure the bolt on kits (turbos) are simple to install but I am talking about homade....
I was under the impression that a turbo (single) is gonna have low end lag where as a supercharger there isnt that was my reasoning for the torqu claim...

First off, are you talking about a kennebell sc?

Well if you gonna compare a homeade turbo settup to a blower kit, thats not right lol. Compare it to a homeade blower settup.

The turbo i have, a sc61 (good for 680 crank hp), will see full boost by 2700-3k rpms on a h/c/i 302. This is not from personaly experience yet, but people who have simlar combos on TM.com. I will know by the end of the week myself.

Turbos make their torque peak much much lower then any centrifigal SC. A kennebell does make the lowest peak torque out of any power adder though. But its still belt driven, and no intercooler for our cars which stinks.

Yes you can get a blower kit used for much cheaper then a turbo kit. Thats about the only plus for the SC. I bought my kit used, for 2400, then add a NEW sc61 turbo(polished) for 775. Thats a total of 3175. Not too bad.

And mines going to be about half your price Jesse You can make a turbo kit a lot cheaper than you can buy a supercharger used, but theres also a lot of work requitred but I'm willing to do it.
