turbo whistle!!!

So I got her started up for the first time since the rebuild. The new rebuilt T3 whistles like no other. It is kinda a ?fluctuating? pitch going up and down at idle. Any idea on why it would do this? It also only boosts to about 6 psi. but this could be the new wastegate they gave me, I am not sure. Oh and it does not whistle nearl as much if at all when driving. thanks...

I dont know if it has anything to do with your problem, but my vacuum pulsated all the time. when i replaced the PCV valve with a for motorcraft one made for an 86SVO turbo, it made the vacuum stable. I assume my old PCV was also leaking boost. It seemed to smooth everything out.

do some vacuum readings on your wastegate to see at what vacuum it opens. also play with your (gillis?) boost adjuster if you have one.
