turboing a notch

hello i have a few questions about a homemade turbo system. i go to diesel classes and there are turbos everywhere there. can i use one of those 18 wheeler turbos. how would i route the headers and does the single turbo run off of one header or two. i have a set of d80e heads that have bigger chambers to lower the compression if needed.

I've heard of people using them, and they work great. You need to flip your headers around, and have both sides of the exhaust run through it. Most people take the battery and relocate it to the trunk and put the turbo there.
