In case people haven't noticed, there is a life cycle to most web forums just like there is a life cycle to consumer products. In most cases, someone starts an automotive website for a select market segment (i.e, late-model Mustangs). In some cases the site never really catches on, and it quickly dies away (Beta videocassette tapes would be a good consumer product example). In other cases, the tech info that gets shared is SO GOOD that the site can't help but grow. Word-of-mouth gets around and new members are attracted by the wealth of knowledgeable people. (CDs, cellular phones are good product examples.) Eventually, however, market saturation is reached. The site receives a steady stream of newbies, and the newbies hash the same old topics over and over again. 3.73s vs. 4.10s. Does the tornado work? Can someone show me where the air silencer is? FAQs are useless because no one reads them. The 'Search' button gets cobwebs. And finally the 'old' members who made the site worth going to in the first place leave, and only the newbies remain. The old guys leave and start over.

When is the last time I saw Mustang92 post something on here? What about Tommy303? San~man? jimfitzgerald? TJM01? white99gt? Kurgan? These guys have some knowledge, but its an endless barrage of threads that provide no new opportunity for learning that keep them looking elsewhere.

Mabye.... your just getting kinda old and there is a lot of new people( newbies) like myself that have had a mustang for awhile but lately have the money and the motivation to learn something and fix up our rides. I have had two mustangs, but ive been interested in making my car faster and unique. See the newbies, we fix are car to smoke ricers and for the girls and because it is just such a beautiful car, its my baby. No i don't know everything about cars and i have alot to learn, but over the last year i know a hell of alot more than i ever have. I used to not even know what a 5.0 mustang was or the difference betwwen a 65 stang or a 68. The point im getting at is there is a lot of new guys like myself who are willing to learn and one day we will be the old guys..right

65 hp increase? WOW! I just ordered one for my roush. I figure that combined with my KB set up, my motor will net 483 rwhp...yeah, right!

This is the same thing that seems to happen on every board I visit, whether it's Mustangs or reefs. I think it's silly when people have a problem with repeated questions and if the older members that have all the knowledge leave (which I hope is not the case because I think it's important to have these people around) then newer members will to take their place.

I also understand the point about using the search function, I use it all the time and that's why post count is low, I'd rather search first to get an answer or have it help me formulate a better question.

No the turbonator wont work, as least we haven't seen proof that it will. As for the people getting touchy about silly questions on the internet, they need to get out a bit more.

I almost pissed myself when I read this on the FAQ section:

"Can I use more than one in my vehicle?

Yes, in Fuel Injection/E.F.I. vehicles, up to three Turbonator's™ have been installed by automotive enthusiasts that race their vehicles"

What's so damn funny about that?

The problem is that the Turbonator is an imposter. You have to get the real deal, "The Tornado" ... I have 7 of them stuffed in my intake hose. All of them together give my engine an F5 velocity of fuel/air to the combustion chambers ... that's powa you can feel!

It works just as much as you have someone strapped down in your engine bay blowing air near your intake.
