I know that some of you will cry foul, but how hard is it to make the front end of a GT look like the GT500? I just like the look of the GT500 very much.
I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) that the only differences are a hood, and front fascia (bumper, grill, lights, lower valance, etc).
Is this a simple bolt on configuration (with some wiring, obviously)?
Just walk up to the local parts counter and start ordering?
How much $, about?

As an added point, typically Ford updates the cars looks by making the GT look somewhat like the previous Cobra (at least the hood), and the V6 gets some of the GT's features. So maybe I do this a few years down the road to "refresh" the looks of the GT? Just a thought.

Check out post number 21. You're probably looking at close to 2k painted. Assuming you do all the work yourself installing it.

You won't have the wheels, the wing, or the hood though.

Don't I need a new hood to be compatible with the new grill?

I searched, but couldn't find the thread I was looking for. I believe there was a v6 owner that did the front end swap without doing the hood.

I think you're right.
I've seen several posts that say you can do the front end without changing the hood.

I'm sure it's on one of the 33 pages of "post your pics"
I believe it was yellow. Looked really nice with the stock hood. The only difference with the GT500 and stock GT hood is the Shelby hood has the slight raise to accent the grill. Either way it looks good IMO.
