Turn signal not working

The 1973 stang was delivered yesterday morning and I'm really quite impressed on how it looks considering I bought it off ebay, but it does need some work but nothing major.

Anyway, the left turn signal isn't working. All the turn signal lights come on, except the dash indicator light. (the right signal is fine).

I know if the dash light stays on solid it's usually a turn signal light is out. But what about if the dash turn indicator light doesn't light, could it be that or something else.

UPDATE!!!

The left turn signal is working (dash light still out), but flashing very slow. Is there anyay to speed this up?

2ND UPDATE!!!

Looks like I could try a new turn signal relay switch. Just need to find out where it is under the dash

Answer
It is in the top right hand corner of the fuse pannel. It will be about 1" in diameter and 1"-2" in height.

if it is just the one light out in the dash,it is probably just the bulb.the back of the 73 instrument cluster is a circuit board and the bulb is mounted in a plastic holder that makes contact at both sides and connects the circuit, could be loose or corroded. it twist in .

I'm guessing just a handful of screws to remove to get that part of the dash off?

i cant remember how it came out ,but it was a bit harder than that

+1 on a bad indicator bulb.

Is it possible for an older turn signal relay to slow down the flashing? While both sides do flash (left turn dash light is out, but right dash light works), the flashes are far away that someone might not even realize that they're on.

Changed the turn signal reply and it does seem a little faster.

The mechanical flasher's rate is determined by the electrical load. More light bulbs=faster, less=slower. So replacing the light in the dash should help. You will also want to see if the lights on both sides are the same brightness, if one is dimmer than the rest, check the ground connection, wiring to the socket and the socket itself for problems.

Edit: Also check that the bulb is the correct one, this also applies if one is brighter than the rest.

I pulled out all the obvious screws including the 2 on the side plate of the dash and the piece on the bottom of the steering column, but nada.

Whats the trick to getting the dasg bezel off?

Honestly, I think the first time I took it out I dropped the steering column. Mine has been out for a long time... Now I'm worried about putting it back in, lol.
