I know this is a common issue I've been fighting for a while. I just replaced the multifunction switch. I have tested both fuses they both getting 12volts tested the flasher it's getting power. I tested the blue wire behind the hazard switch it is getting 12 volts. My hazards do work they are not open when I'm not using them. I tested the orange and yellow from the hazard switch to the multifunction switch and it is not getting 12volts anyone have any helpful tips. I dont have the hazard flasher in right now I've tested with it in and out. I do have a new turn signal flasher as well in.

Yes. I have a feeling it has to do with the orange/ yellow wire that connects the hazard switch to the multifunction switch but have no idea why it's not getting 12 volts.

I finally got my turn signals to work after messing with them for a while. When i tested them the right turn signal works front and back
The left one does not.

Check the seating of the bulbs. If they seat correctly just replace the bulb. They are long lasting and will ultimately wear a gap between the bulb and connection. I had this same issue. One required a finger flick to work. Another time I had to ensure it was seated correctly. Most recently I replaced them both as the bottoms were worn out.

Your signal wires run through the hazard switch, which is known to deteriorate and become worn out causing loose connections. It’s worth checking out if you don’t think it’s a bulb or flasher relay

If one side works and not the other the flasher is ok.
Take a test light and check the sockets.

It's the wires messed up or a short. You may have to take the individual wires out of the plug and test them, they will work right once you get the exact setup.

There are diagrams online but it takes trial and error.

SOOOOOOOOO, Since a cracked screen has prevented this thread from moving anywhere.... (make sense though because no year was provided)

Have you thought of the multi-function switch? I had an issue on my 95 where:

  1. the right signal worked as it should by using the multi-function switch
  2. the left would only work, not blink when i held the multi-function switch
  3. the cruise control would shut off at any time you tried to signal left.
I replaced my multi-function switch and it all worked fine once again
