TV cable removal on throttle body???

how do i remove the TV cable from the Throttle body linkage????

just take a flathead screwdriver and put it between the cable and the throttlebody linkage and pry up a little bit and it will pop right out

its plastic and i dont want to break it

If you have the stock plastic grommet holding the TV cable to the TB (its white or yellowed form heat and grime) do Like Casey said, use a flat head and gently pry it down,it will pop out pretty easy. If you have the upgraded brass one, the TV cable will be held in by a cotter pin which you have to pull out 1st. The TV cable is pretty durable, I wouldnt worry about breaking that. The stock grommet should be replaced. Preferably by the upgraded brass one but at the minimum, with a new stock one. I got one from Ford for $3.00, the brass ones can be ordered from www.50resto.com for $6.00.
