I istalled the tweecer on the car and tested it out with a simple idle log and it worked just fine. I later I tried dataloged when driving and the car just went haywire. Some how the Tweecer told the EEC to only run on the right bank and not the left. When i stoped I turned the car off took the Tweecer off and started the car and it drove just fine. If I bought the unit used, is it possible that there is a tune on the tweecer that needs to be errased and how is that done? Or did I do something wrong and it is just opperator error? Please I need options thanks in advance for all of the help.

P.S. I am posting this here because the tweecer boards suck and no one replies to any thing in there.

Make sure that the connections where the Tweecer & pcm connect are good & clean.

I don't mean to be a wise guy but did you search the sites for probs like you are having cause a lot of info is out there.

start caledit
connect USB
set switch to pos1
turn IGN on
wait for driver to load
click READ EEC
verify data read (check scalars for 'normal' data, etc)
click WRITE TWEECER
change switch position to 2
click WRITE TWEECER
change switch position to 3
click WRITE TWEECER
change switch position to 4
click WRITE TWEECER
turn off IGN
try it out

I'm not sure if you need to turn off the IGN between switching the switch and writing each time or not... (I'm also new to tweecer and feel your pains with the boards and the tweecer.)

With my setup, I'm running a simple (MAF, injectors, idle, basics) tweeced version of the J4J1 and it idles and runs OK (calibration wise - I have other issues :( )

I'd check the idle speeds, engine displacement, injector sizes, etc. When the tweecer is not communicating with the eec well, the data will look scrambled. Like engine displacement of 4232.34 or something crazy. You can always download the TM4O from tweecer.com and load it into caledit and just look at the data, then do a read eec and compare. It should be the same.

You must be using v1.30Ax. I've only used the v1.20b3 and I don't think that it has bank settings. Regardless, I think that our processors use 4 2banks. That's how you can program 4 tunes. I believe that some processors use the 4 banks and they can only program 2 tunes. I don't think that is changeable or a reason that you'd want to change them.

No track times yet. I've only been able to drive the thing about 5 times and 100 miles of break in so far. In that time, I've had a rocker come loose on me, then had to deal with that. Got it fixed and now I've got either a blown/leaky intake or head gasket. :notnice:

As for the CAI, see this thread -

I just now posted pics of what I needed to cut and how the MAF fits. The rest of it is pretty much like everyone elses. 3" PVC and Fernco's.
