hey guys, i currently run a tweecer rt in my 89 lx, a9l processor. I took the car to get dynotuned with the tweecer and three of the rockers were to tight and it made low power. After i fixed the rockers the car ran great but i need to get a datalog to send back to the dyno shop. My problem is the datalog will not work. My tweecer rt light is on, but the data light does not come on. I have tried everything including reinstalling both dbe and the calcon and cal edit. Does anyone have any suggestions for either a tweecer forum or help with the tweecer. Thnx James.

Some Resources

Resources for TwEECer support

Stangnet.com
  • Fox 5.0 Tuning – This forum was recently started to support the increased number of questions regarding Fox 5.0 tuning. Content is not specific to the TwEECer, but is specific to the Fox 5.0 computers.
http://forums.stangnet.com/forumdisplay.php?f=225
  • 94-95 5.0 Tuning – This forum is similar to above. Content is not specific to the TwEECer, but is specific to the 94 to 95 5.0 computers.
http://forums.stangnet.com/forumdisplay.php?f=211

EECTuning.org
This is a very good forum with a fair amount of activity from knowledgeable people.
Content is not specific to TwEECer, and not specific to Fox computers.
http://eectuning.org/forums/viewforum.php?f=2

EEC-Tuning.org
The developer of EEC Analyzer hangs out at this site, so EA questions are very well answered here. There are also some good EA tips that have been stickied.
Content is not specific to TwEECer, and not specific to Fox computers.
http://www.eec-tuning.org/forums/

TwEECer on Yahoo! Groups
This is the official support forum for the TwEECer. If you have a question about how to use CalEdit/CalCon this is a good bet as the developer of the TwEECer monitors this site. The search function on this site leaves much to be desired.
Content is specific to TwEECer, but not specific to Fox computers.
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/tweecer/

StangTuning.com
There is not much TwEECer activity on this forum, but there are some good archived files. Content is specific to TwEECer, but not specific to Fox computers.
http://www.stangtuning.com/

Moates.net
Moates produces tuning software and hardware packages for many makes of computer, not specific to Ford. If you wish to tune a second vehicle with the tweecer this seems to be the best source for a programmable J3 chip.
Content is not specific to TwEECer (TwEECer is rarely mentioned), and not specific to Fox computers.

StreetStangs.net
This forum appears to be fairly young. Content is not specific to TwEECer, and is not specific to Fox computers.

DataLog Question

As for the datalog not working...

1. When datalogging make sure that you have created a payload and saved the tune (.ccf file) with the "Data Logging" checkbox selected. If this is not done then CalCon will not show any activity while the engine is running.

2. Do not remove the file "Logfile" from the folder "LogFiles". This file is a format file that is used each time a datalog is created. Without the file in this location, datalogging is not possible.

Taken from the sticky...
http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=640613
Read the sticky as there are some other pitfalls you should be aware off with the tweecer.

Most likely the above 2 items will solve your datalog problem.

Let us know if you get it working.
