After removing so much fender material will you need to strengthen the front end at all? My battery area is all rusted, it's in the trunk now. My turbo bolts are right there where the rust is, if I could just cut the rusted area out I could kill two birds with one stone. I was just worried about making the front end weak.

If you go back and look at the pictures, you can see two red bars coming out of the firewall/wheelwell area. They connected to the frame rails (they are cut off now) before the twin turbo setup, i'll reconfigure them to fit again after everything is in its final resting area.

Car is in getting painted, engine should be done in a couple of weeks. All the piping is welded and coated, the dash is 98% wired and the new loom is built. Over the next month it should be coming together nicely....barring any problems!

the engine goes in this week, the car has been painted (bright red clearcoat) the interior is back in and it's been totally rewired.

got the engine in today and some final assembly done tonight. I'll have to relocate the fuel pressure regulator as it's too close to the downpipe and header.

I love symmetric turbo tubing! Right now I would settle for paint that looked that good though...

Great design and execution! It gives me some motivation to get back on my project.

more pictures as i progress. Fuel lines done, tranny cooler mounted, oil feed and return lines for the turbos done, exhaust mocked up and ready to install, intake ported and ready to install.

exhaust picture. Not ideal but it'll get the job done. They hang no lower than my subframe connectors so clearance won't be an issue.

ok, last pictures before i fire it up (this weekend) I threw the switch for the battery....no smoke...no flames, all is good in my world! The pipes off the back of the mufflers are too close to the ground so i'll loosen the clamps and rotate them up a little for more ground clearance. I installed three ten inch fans, two as pullers behind the rad and one as a pusher lower infront of the intercooler....hopefully it keeps the engine temps in check. Time will tell.
