I have two issues with my car that have bothered me for a long time and I can't figure out.
First, my parking brake handle has too much play in it. As a result it vibrates from the exhaust note. I have taken the console off but have been unable to determine how to tighten it. Do I have to wind the spring tighter? If so how?
Second, after adding my supercharger, the car drives great except when traveling at highway speed and then slowing down. When I take my foot off the gas I get a check engine light. If I hit the gas again the light goes off. I have run a code scanner (but not when driving) and don't get any codes. The MAF sensor is setup for a supercharger. The timing is set at the stock 10 degrees. Fuel pressure at about 38 lbs. According to my stoich. meter, it is a stoich mix when under hard acceleration. Lastly, smog pump and A/C is hooked up and working. I have also listed a majority of my parts so you guys could know what combination I'm running. Thanks for any help.

Make sure the MAP sensor up near the windshield wipers DOES NOT have any hoses connected to it. It is supposed to vent to the open air.

The parking brake incorporates a rachet mechanism to keep the cable tight. Careful examination of how it works will enable you to twist up the drum that the cable is attached to. This will take the slack out of the parking brake cables.
