how much will this add...HP/Trq wise? I will have about 20HP over stock (from full exhaust) and am getting rebuilt E7TE heads....so my motor will run better, just curious about the typhoon, i have Fenderwell CAI also...thanks...how much HP over stock am i making now TOTAL? thanks guys

well i dont know what gains the edelbrock gives ya, i know its basically a replica for cheaper....come on, i know someone has baseline dyno'd a stock 5.0 motor added an edelbrock/typhoon and dyno'd it again....10?20?30?40hp? PLUS i heard the lower intake is what is most restricting on a stock 5.0

I can tell you when i had my basically stock motor, with 75mm maf, 70mm t-body, and cai, full exhaust, the typhoon killed my low end power, but gained on the upper rpm pulls, plus the engine reved faster.

the intake is cheaper because it is not treated with the same care of edelbrock does, it is edelbrock, but they dont take all the "flash" out of it after it is made in the mold.

nope its a made in china piece, needs a bit of machine work to clean it up too...

It's cheap and gives you room to grow, the polished version has a good look to it..I have it and it's the first thing complimented when the hood goes up. With these old cars you have to think ahead and spend wisely cause you can't sell it for what you have in it, the typhoon saves on the pocket book. I like it and at 300HP it flows lots and lots without being ported. You will like it and save some cash, but any aftermarket intake will do you well with the ported E7's.

I agree, I bought it when it first came out for that very reason that it was cost effective, I couldn't afford to spend 500 or 600 hundred bux on an intake, when I could buy one for $275 that with a little clean up flows just the as good or better than the edelbrock rpm
