i am trying to install a set of bbk underdrive pulleys. i cant seem to get the old crankshaft pulley off. i have tried almost everything. i used the harmonic dampener puller and the screws broke. i got another kind of puller, and it broke too. i used a torch on it to try and heat it up, but that didnt work either. any advice?

Did you get the bolt to break loose? You have an impact handy?

That's the first thought I had as well about the bolt....
Are you sure you are using the pullers correctly?

I just did the install (steeda) last week and the bolt was on there pretty well to say the least My impact couldn't break it lose so we used a method that is common for dealerships to do on certain jeep though it isn't exactly the safest/best way to go about it though did work.

i already got the bolt off. i just cant seem to get the pulley off. i used the harmonic puller that uses 3 screws and the screws either got stripped and came out or they broke off. i used the other kind too, with the clamps, and that didnt work.

i say PB blast the hell out of it every hour for like 4 hours and then go and get some high grade8 bolts for your puller with some nuts for the back of the balancer, i think if you do all of that you should be able to yank that beast off there.. mine was a PITA too

I was wondering if you had any problems with the steeda pullies?

I haven't had them on very long though haven't really experienced any of the negative that you'll read. They are a decent mod and I can feel a difference, but don't expect a night and day difference.

I picked mine up for $75 so can't really beat that

Are you sure you're using the tool correctly? The screws shouldn't be cranked down hard.

Yeah, I know it doesn't make a dramatic difference in power, but it's good to have if your staying N/A. I was going to get them but then read a lot of bad things about them so I backed off

For $75 I would buy them in a heart beat That's a good deal man
