Ueber stupid question. Spring isolators

Hello,

I have an ultra 'tard question. I need some fresh spring isolators. The poly stuff is nice but I think ~50 bucks for all 4 corners is rediculous. Are there any alternatives (I dont care about the material - the durometer rating on the OEM stuff was decent).

Any cheaper ways to do it?

You better hope she dont check up on you! This would piss her off more than ghey pron!! Back on topic, the poly ones are really, really, nice. My car rides awesome even with a ~2" drop.

Dude, that's the funniest thing I've had posted on one of my threads in a long time. I have an aunt who can make shoeleather from the finest cut of meat out there, so I know the feeling. On the other hand, when I left her house, my gut was the only one that didnt hurt, and I had nice new spring in my step and fresh tread on my kicks.

Andy, thanks for the linkies buddy. I had searched around a bit and kept seeing the same three brands (ES, Prothane and BBK). ~40-50 beans plus shipping just seemed like a lot for what they are.

I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet. I figured someone might have known of some cheaper (non-poly) units out there. Anyone used the Prothane units? They seem a little cheaper...................

No but i can vouch for the Poly units. I threw em in with my Sportlines and it really helps with the so called "harshness" of those springs. They also kept the lower to 1.5-1.7" instead of 2" so Im not bouncing my exhaust off the street

I have been pretty happy with the Energy Suspension stuff I have at all 4 corners.

Not sure how it compares to stock stuff for ride quality though, as I can't recall that far back.

how about a really cheap method....use a length of heater house. just get the right size that will fit around the spring and slide it on, or cut it down the middle and put it on?
