UFC 65

Tape, what is a tape.

Thats to bad, He was starting to get a little cocky.

Still think he is a great fighter and will get his belt back in the rematch. But defending his title and always winning was making his head big. this will bring him back down to earth and make him a even better fighter.

All true points but its starting to make me think some of the Title fights lately are thrown. Like when franklin lost last month he minds well of stood there and took it in the butt. Now this. I think they wanna give the titles a chance to pass hands. Now if liddel loses to ortiz next month ill be pised

LOL at WTF. Come on now, GSP came READY, I didnt expect him to DESTROY him like that but GSP is a bad mofo at 170. Finally people are learning that international level fighters are where it's at for the most part to a point. I get so sick of watching a PPV and hearing that WWE redneck ass USA chant by uneducated so called "fans".

It's fine to cheer for your country but it shows lack of knowledge of the sport and fighters when thats all they can find to cheer about.

I won 25 cent on the bet though LOL!

Not unprepared, just flat out OUTMATCHED. There are PLENTY of people in other fighting orgs that would destroy Franklin and at least one or two out there that would hand it to Hughes (Gomi would have a good shot at it IMO).

Hughes has been rocked like that before, he got flash KO'd by Pele years ago. He has evolved ALOT as a fighter since then but the 170 class is a DEEP division and he couldnt expect to win forever I guess.

They just both semmed like they lacked the fire that drives the non title holders.

Oh i didnt know that he got rocked that before...the only other time that i would say he was rocked was when he fought Triggs and Triggs caught him in the nuts and took advantage... But Pierre would have had hughes knocked out in the first round with that perfectly placed punch to the forehead....Did you see the mark it left?

i thought hughes was gonna rock that french bastard. i was hoping he would too. i was wrong. needless to say i still count hughes as my favorite figher cause hes a good guy and really doesnt talk ****. i hope he has a rematch and cleans st pierres clock.

Pierre Caught him in the sack twice in this fight. And alite that fight is DEC 30th otiz Liddel 2... I cant wait for that.

When it comes to his feet, hughes is a bum. Anyone with any striking game can pick him apart on his feet. If it comes down to grappling, its his territory, and thats about all hes got. GSP beat the snot out of him, and halted his take down attempts. Hes a better fighter. I've been waiting 2 years to see that fight again, and I believe that Matt Hughes doesnt have a chance to get it back. Hughes is an ignorant egomaniacal douchebag.

I think maybe it will be a wake up call that he isnt indestructible like franklin, and they will both train harder and comeback and make it an awesome fight for round 3..

I'd like to see that. If Matt Hughes put aside his ego, and devoted himself to training on his feet, it would benefit him on so many levels. If you watch all of his previous fights, I dont think I've ever seen him get the better of a stand up game. His fight over BJ Penn was disgusting, BJ made Matt his bitch, and then got tired. And Matt hughes didnt do any damage, didnt do anything impressive, I was spanked harder when I was 5 compared to his "punches." Train the stand-up game, lose the ego and then we'll see if hes got anything.

I also believe Arlovski will take back his belt when he climbs back up. The 2nd fight him and Sylvia had was...well...kind of bunk lol. The 3rd fight was about as boring a fight as I could have anticipated. Arlovski's game is skill, finesse and power. Sylvia's game is counterpunching. If Arlovski put his chin in his neck and went in and did a 2-3 punch combo that fight would have gone in a different direction.

Lidell/Tito, we all know what happened there, and to be honest, this fight could go either way. I wasnt impressed with tito's job with Griffin, I personally thought Griffin won that. But it could go either way.

I want to see Melvin Guillard fight Sean Sherk now :nice:.

I want GSP to take out Sanchez, because I dont think I hate anyones attitude more than his in the sport.:notnice:

hehe, I like Serra's attitude, but he lacks the athleticism and stand up skill to compete with GSP. If it comes down to wrestling and/or Jiu Jitsu its an even playing field.

After Liddell/Tito, I want to see Lidell and Vanderlei Silva. THAT will be a good fight. I also want to see Vitor Belfort fight again.
