Ukraine

I'm sure some of you would applaud this.

A Trump-appointed former senior advisor to the secretary of defense says Russian forces were 'too gentle' on Ukraine and called Zelensky a 'puppet'

"I don't see anything heroic about the man," retired Col. Douglas Macgregor said about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday.

I just saw today that an AN-225 was destroyed at the airport on the 27th of Feb.

I think that leaves only one.

This one-dimensional conceptualization of one's political opponents is a primary reason there is so much division these days.

"Oh, a former Trump official. I know what everyone thinks about this!"

And before you say it, yes, the other side is just as guilty of it.

Why bother talking to anyone when you already know everything they think?

I actually thought it would be a copy of a Milley phone call to warn Putin of an attack??

Must of been about 6 years ago, the day before Sun N Fun started, 3 B26's in formation, were "buzzing" lakeland at a very low altitude to let everyone know the show was in town..... I am guessing they flew over my home at about 500 feet, 3 or 4 times.. Talk about make my home shake.... It was AMAZING......
Of course some whiney dick complained and it hasn't happened since......

I oppose Trump because I think he is dangerous. Of course, my opinion. My view of this particular article is just one aspect of my opposition. He has support that I feel is dangerous as well. I don't think everyone on the right is of the particular mindset that he is the only way. That said I don't oppose all of the right or left. It's become a bad thing in some camps to be moderate but that is where I am. I'm not running from it.

No... That was the only one. There is a spare airframe at that airport as well, but obviously we won't know if one can be rebuilt or if anyone is even interested in rebuilding it.
We had a big discussion about this over on M.net. We have quite a few ex-AF pilots, SAC pilots and others in that line of work, several of them saw it up-close in the past when it was here in the US for a few missions.

That sucks. There will never be another one. It's way to expensive to just [do] and the requirement for it no longer exists.

For anyone who isn't familiar with it, this is the Antinov-225. It was designed to ferry the Russian's version of our Space Shuttle. THE largest airplane ever built!

Gas prices are at a record high.
The stock market is in a correction.
Supply chain issues are causing store shelves to be empty.
Russia has full on invaded Ukraine.

Your instincts are worth as much as dental floss at a Willie Nelson concert. There's no possible way it would have been this bad under Trump.

And I say that as someone who's not a Trump fan.

We'll just have to settle for agree to disagree. Not that you don't have a valid point but there is no way to prove it. There are a ton of outside circumstances driving the economic climate. I mean they've been saying for 2 years the market could not sustain that path. My advisor told before the election to be prepared for a 10% correction in the market no matter who won. Gas prices, supply chain...all have mitigating circumstances beyond who is in office. Now how all that is handled is a different story and that is still developing.

Shame the plane was destroyed. There is another body that’s supposedly 60-70% complete. No idea where it is and if they can build a complete plane out of the damaged one. Looks like the cockpit took most of the damage, and the incomplete one is just the body.

[Ronin38]

Yeah, that's the spare airframe I referred to. It's at the same airport, I believe.

I'm don't disagree. But most of the posts here are extreme right leaning. If any extreme left spoke up I'd be on that too. Because 99% of all of them are not here for us. They look to enrich themselves.

Trump is so "Dangerous" that Putin waited for Trump to be out of office to invade Ukraine.
I will take that kind of danger any day of the week.

In fact the last time Putin invaded Ukraine, Joe Biden was VP.
I see a pattern.
