Ok, I've been diving into my new 92, it's got a bunch of stuff that was done by previous owners, still figuring out all of it.

The clutch has been hard the whole time I've had it, like 2-3x as hard as a stock 5.0 clutch.

I took it for a short drive today to test my brakes and when I was parking it, the clutch a
Was suddenly easy to press, almost as easy as a stock clutch. I drove it and it shifted fine. I'm about to drive it again to test it again, any thoughts what could have happened? Could the clutch of broke? Or maybe when it was replaced something snagged?

Repeat, it still goes in the gears fine! I'll post back after one more drive.

Does it have the stock quadrant in it? If so, the stock quadrant can be adjusted by pulling up on it.. Maybe it got pulled out by accident.. If it still shifts fine I wouldn't worry about it

Ok drove it to the store and back. Shifted fine, drove it hard there and like a granny home, drove fine. It's still stiff but much less so. Right now it's where I want it, before was too stiff.. I'm left wondering if something was bound up before that came loose..

Pull up on the clutch pedal with you foot to adjust it and spray some lube on the cable. If your e brake cables were all rusted, chances are the clutch cable may be sticking as well if it is original. Those stock plastic quadrants under the dash suck and often strip teeth so at some point you may want to swap it out with a firewall adjuster. Fiore made the best but I don't think they are in business now. Call MM or Steeda as they make quality parts.

The more I mess with it the more I think the car had sat for a time.. I'll lube the cable either way. . for the time being it'll stay stock, I'm more concerned with getting the car "right" but once I start mods/upgrades, my first 3 will be a 3G alt, electric fan, and better clutch cable set up.

For clarity, I'm talking about the pressure it takes to press the peddle not where the clutch engages....
