You had responded to several of my posts and it would appear that you know what you are talking about. Anyways, you wanted to know where I would get parts at wholesale cost - http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=681823
Can you help recommend some mods as well as anyone else can chime in. Should I put headers on it? Remove the cats? I just want around 500 HP(or slightly more just in case I can get my Dad to take his balls out of my Mother's purse and race me at the 2007 Hot Rod Power Tour) but do not want to risk screwing up the car, as the 03 cobra I just bought is stock and I plan on owning it so my son can drive it when he is 16. If there is something I should upgrade to keep the engine/drive/tune correct please advise. I looked at the article you linked to before, it was very helpful but didnt make suggestions. I am thinking pulleys, exhaust, shifter, headers(maybe), x pipe, tune, and what-ever (things other than buying a KB). I appreciate the time to respond. Please give specifics, not just brands.

You want 500RWHP? Do you have any qualms about having the supercharger ported in order to meet this 500RWHP level?

I would rather not port it. What could I get out of it without porting it? I guess I don't really need the 500 but close to it. I probably wont drag it more than a few times with friends so it doesnt matter that much.

Okay so no porting... you can only spin a stock eaton so fast before it becomes nothing but a giant heat pump. I'd say without porting or resorting to spinning the living crap out of the eaton you can probably achieve somewhere between 450-470RWHP with just the basic bolt-ons.

CAI (JLT or K&N FIPK)
X-pipe (Magnaflow, Bassani, Pro Chamber)
Cat back (Magnaflow, Bassani, Steeda, Borla Stinger)
2.93 upper pulley & 100MM aux idler (Billetflow)
good tune (SCT Xcal2 + custom tune)

Aftermarket headers and throttle bodies will not give you much gain on a Cobra running the eaton. If you step up to a twin screw and start pushing some serious boost then the TB & headers can make a difference, but on a basically stock Terminator they're a waste of money and time as far as performance gains go.

I compiled a list last night of the parts I wanted based on a compilation of threads icluding yours. The list is the same as yours. The HP will do at 460-470. Correct me if I am wrong but you can only buy the Billetflow from them directly? I should just pay the guys at the shop to do the tune and pulley change the same day so I dont go driving around pounding the **** out of it without getting it tuned right away? These mods will be safe without having to change anything else (fuel pump, etc.)? I can always change my mind about the porting later and still run all these bolt-ons(the car only has 7k miles and I will only put a couple thousand on a year, so it will still be in mint condition 5 years from now)? If I run the same exhaust as you did less the headers(I heard the audio), is it a basic bolt on and no welds? Thanks for all the input.

Yup. http://www.billetflow.com Keep in mind you need a speical pulley removal tool to install & remove pulleys from the eaton supercharger. A standard off-the-shelf pulley removal tool will not work.

ABSOLUTELY! You DO NOT want to put a smaller pulley on without getting the car tuned for it. You can go lean very easily and burn that motor up quick! Who is going to do your tune? Keep in mind that the guys who specialize in tuning these Terminators consistantly produce better numbers than most other tuners. You can get good quality and safe tunes via mail order from the top terminator tuners in the country.

Correct. The stock MAF & fuel system (pumps/injectors) are good up to 490-510 RWHP before requiring modification.

Yup! If you decide to port the supercharger/inlet/TB at a later date you can keep your existing mods and then just add any additional fuel mods needed to keep the A/F ratio safe at WOT.

The tune shop is in Akron and my friend that is hooking me up the parts knows these guys. I guess they only do Cobras. The owner has an 03 with over 700 HP. I saw the tool on the website for the pulleys. Rather than renting it, I would imagine that the guys at the shop have it already and if they are charging me for the tune it would be cheaper to pay them. Do I go ahead and buy the xcal2 tune off the shelf(if I can order it out of the book)or let them do it when they custom tune it?

It is important to remember that there will be some variation from car to car...I needed a MAF upgrade 460 RWHP.

I also was going to get the auto Meter 2 or 3 gauge pillar pod. Any recommendations as to which ones(not meaning series, but electric vs mechanical)? I would assume a boost gauge and ??? Thanks again

Well if they (your tuner) has the ability to flash your ECM with a new custom tune then there's no reason for you to buy an SCT Xcal2. Most people purchase a handheld tuner like the Predator or the Xcal2 so they can make minor customizations to their tune themselves or to use it as a delivery method for custom tunes. For example... I bought a Predator for my Cobra. I then had my tuner create a custom tune based on my mods. My tuner emailed this custom tune to me, I transferred it from my PC into the Predator and then uploaded it from the Predator to my car. A handheld tuner can also save a backup copy of your original factory tune which can then be re-loaded into the car if needed like for warranty work.

Skip getting another boost gauge. The stock boost gauge is actually very accurate all the way up to 15 or 16 psi! All you need to do is install a Hilton boost overlay. http://www.boostoverlay.com/ Even looks stock after installation!

As for other gauges... well that's up to you. If it were me I'd go with oil pressure and water temp.

I've seen numerous people going 550 rwhp on stock injectors....but they used a pump and BAP.

Probably a Maf.ia extender too.
